Np thyroid: Should you use this thyroid medication? (5 things to know) [_N6UPtLtgFr]

NP thyroid is a thyroid medication often referred to as the generic of Armour thyroid (even though this isn't true). Find out if you should use NP thyroid and if it's actually going to help you. Today we are going to talk about the thyroid medication known as NP thyroid. What is NP thyroid? NP thyroid is an NDT formulation (meaning it is like other formulations of natural desiccated thyroid) that is becoming more popular nowadays because it is becoming more difficult to get the other brands. Should you use it? How is it different? Does it work? these are the questions we will be going over today. Here are 5 things you should know about NP thyroid before using it: #1. It is an NDT formulation. The first thing that you should know is that NP thyroid is an NDT formulation. This means that it shares some similarities with other formulations of natural desiccated thyroid. These similarities include the fact that all of these medications contain calcitonin, T4, T3, T2, and T1. Even though they all contain these BASIC ingredients they do differ in their inactive ingredients. #2. NP thyroid vs Armour thyroid. You should know that NP thyroid is NOT the same thing as Armour thyroid. Your pharmacist may try to convince you that these are the same medications but they are not. Sometimes Armour is referred to as the brand name and NP as the generic but again that isn't true either. These medications differ in their ingredient profile and thus how they interact in your body. Armour thyroid has 1 extra ingredient compared to NP thyroid which is technically slightly more "clean" compared to Armour thyroid. If you are sensitive to inactive ingredients then you might fare better on NP over armour thyroid. #3. NP thyroid vs levothyroxine and Synthroid. These two classes of medications differ by quite a bit! While levothyroxine and Synthroid only contain T4 thyroid hormone you should know that NP thyroid contains T4, T3, T2, and T1. This means that NP thyroid has a more complete thyroid hormone profile. #4. NP thyroid and weight loss. You should also be aware that NP thyroid will be superior to levothyroxine and Synthroid in terms of its ability to help you lose weight. This is mostly attributed to the fact that NP thyroid contains T3 thyroid hormone. #5. NP thyroid cost. NP thyroid is actually very reasonably priced, especially when compared to Armour thyroid. It is not, however, cheaper than levothyroxine/Synthroid, though, which is very cheap.
